history

Founded in 1746, Banque Marcuard became one of the most important Finance Houses in Europe. After the Napoleonic wars it continued to play a significant role in the industrial development of modern Switzerland and remained one of the most important private banks. Following its sale to Credit Suisse in the early 20th century, it then naturally faded from international prominence.

In partnership with Marcuard cousin Hans-Joerg Rudloff, who serves on a number of Boards of Directors, including presently as Chairman of Barclays Capital and Vice Chairman of Novartis AG, we have created Marcuard Heritage.
